OVERVIEW
It’s finally here!! SOP Motorsport is starting 2022 on PlayStation with a full replica of the new British GT Championship sponsored by the ever present Coach Dave Academy. This championship will feature 6 rounds from around the UK and the prestigious Spa Francorchamps to make up the 7 rounds. All races in the UK will be 60 minutes in length with one mandatory stop for tyres and fuel with Spa being a two hour race with no mandatory stop. We will have both a GT3 and GT4 championship series so we can crown two champions and have two separate championship battles as well as the overall champion from the series.
REGISTRATION The first 20 drivers to register will secure a slot in the GT3 class and the first 20 drivers to register will secure a slot in the GT4 class. We will allow 10 reserves for this championship and so if registration is full, take one of the reserve spots and you will be moved into a permanent spot if a driver withdraws.
EVENT TIMETABLE Practice - 19:30 UTC (10 minutes) Qualifying - 19:40 UTC 20 minute qualifying Race - 20:00 UTC (60 minute races)
PIT STOPS AND STINTS Every UK round will require one mandatory stop for fuel and tyres.
STEWARDING This series will adopt post race stewarding only. Which can be found under the specific race of each round only.
RULES BOP: There will be no custom ballast added for this championship for either GT3 or GT4.
CUSTOM LIVERIES The use of custom liveries made outside of the game are NOT permitted in this sprint series because we want to make it as official and as much of a replica as possible. All cars are to run the yellow British GT window banner. You can run either an official British GT livery or an in game custom livery
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES If a driver is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the `Races` tab, and then `Admin` on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Please check the info tab to see how many signouts are permitted. If a driver has withdrawn from a race, but wish to attend the race after all, please contact a member of staff as the slot may have already been filled by a reserve driver.
