Description and Instructions

Velocity International Racing League's Midweek Sprint Series - Redline to Japan (Season 2)

Overview:

Velocity International Racing League is a host born from the XBOX community at Slipstream International. This Sprint Series will run 30 min sprint races with One-Shot Qualifying. This championship utilizes BoP from LFM and will be updated weekly. Drivers will be notified in the series chat when BoP is updated and the BoP for the next round.

Event Structure:

Races will take place at 9PM EDT on Thursday's starting on January 18, 2024. Server will be reset promptly at 9PM to start official practice, but will be open to all participants one week in advance.

  • Practice: 10 min
  • Qualifying: 5 min (One Shot)
  • Race: 30 min Sprint
  • Time of Day: Varies
  • Ambient: 20C
  • Weather: 10% cloud cover, Static

One-shot qualifying is one timed lap. Drivers leave the pit lane, perform their out lap and one timed lap. Any driver completing more than 2 laps in the timetable is disqualified from the event.

Drivers may switch cars in SimGrid until the start of the fourth round of the Championship. 

There will be 3 drop rounds. Additional drop rounds may be added due to technical issues at the discretion of the Admin Team.

Assists:  

  • All tiers will have the maximum stability control setting to 0. Other than the ones mentioned here, all assists are allowed to be used.

Regions:

  • Our Assetto Corsa Competizione Xbox event runs at a time that enables North American drivers to compete.

Stewarding and live streaming: 

  • Our Discord incident reporting functionality will be used for after-the-race reporting, with a window of 24 hours.
  • The stewards can and will hand out penalties without reports if they deem it appropriate and necessary
