Description and Instructions

Velocity International Racing League's World Championship

Overview:

Velocity International Racing League is a new host, born from the XBOX community at Slipstream International. This World Championship will be our flagship series, running dual sprint weekends with One-Shot Qualifying, and 60-90 minute races. 

Event Structure:

Races will take place at 3PM EDT on Saturdays starting on August 5th. Server will be reset promptly at 3PM to start official practice, but will be open to all participants one week in advance.

  • Practice: 25-30 min
  • Qualifying: 5 min (One Shot) / 15 min Standard Timed
  • Race: 2x30 min Sprints / 60 min Enduro / 90 min Enduro
  • Time of Day: Varies
  • Ambient: Varies
  • Weather: Real Weather

One-shot qualifying is one timed lap. Drivers leave the pit lane, perform their out lap and one timed lap. Any driver completing more than 2 laps in the timetable is disqualified from the event.

Drivers may switch cars in SimGrid until the start of the fourth round of the Championship. 

There will be 3 drop rounds. Additional drop rounds may be added due to technical issues at the discretion of the Admin Team.

Assists:  

  • All tiers will have the maximum stability control setting to 0. Other than the ones mentioned here, all assists are allowed to be used.

Regions:

  • Our Assetto Corsa Competizione Xbox event runs at a time that enables all North American and European-based drivers to compete.

Stewarding and live streaming: 

  • Our Discord incident reporting functionality will be used for after-the-race reporting, with a window of 24 hours.
  • The stewards can and will hand out penalties without reports if they deem it appropriate and necessary
