Shakedown - GT3 - Series 2 of 2023 OVERVIEW
Welcome to Shakedown SimRacing, now held with The Sim Grid. We have also recently been Officially recognized by Motorsports Australia as an eSports Organization.
This Series will be held from May 2 until June 27 featuring 8 Tracks!
We also offer Live Commentary, hosted with 1ne_ttt on Twitch, featuring John Sonnekus.
To stay fully up to date, everyone who wishes to participate with Shakedown, must be in the Discord!
SERIES INFORMATION
Prior to a Series kicking off, we asked our Drivers to vote on their Top 8 Tracks they would like to visit, this is all done via. Discord. Our Variable Weather Rounds where randomized this series. They will be BARCELONA and SILVERSTONE. Having our Drivers vote brings in more of a community feel, that we find works quite we'll for everyone who is involved. Each Series is run over the course of 9 Weeks. And features a 1 Week Break in between Rounds 4-5.
We will be using the Race Day Timetables listed below, and will see a total of - 3x 45min, 3x 60min and 2x 90min.
CAR SELECTION
Car Selection will close on May 2, although we used to allow changes until Round 2. This time we will be allowing a Mid-Series Car Swap.

Practice 2 - 7:50pm AEST (20min)
Qualifying 1 - 8:10pm AEST (15min)
Race 1 - 8:30pm AEST (45min)
NORMAL ROUND - RACE DAY TIMETABLE

PIT STOPS
- Round 1 - No Compulsory Stop.
- Round 2 - 1x Compulsory Stop for Tyres.
- Round 3 - No Compulsory Stop.
- Round 4 - 1x Compulsory Stop for Fuel.
- Round 5 + 6 - 1x Compulsory Stop for Tyres.
- Round 7 - No Compulsory Stop.
- Round 8 - 1x Compulsory Stop for Fuel.
CAR CLASSES
We bracket each Driver into either - PRO / PRO-AM / AM - this Information is based on your performance and can be found in Discord.
RACE LIST
On the Race List tab, you will see that we have input the Server Time along with the Ambient Temp we will be using for each Round. Something to note, with the Race 2 Qualifying, we run this on the same day as the Race - so do note the fact we have an earlier Server Time for this session.
We also use some Cloud Cover of around 30%. So be sure to take this into account when you're doing practice!
