🏁 WRC League Rules & Regulations

The World Racing Championship (WRC) is built on the foundations of clean racing, competitive spirit, and respect. Every driver, team, and community member is expected to follow these regulations throughout the season.

Our goal is to create a competitive environment where drivers can race hard, battle fairly, and enjoy the sport we all love.

🀝 RESPECT & SPORTSMANSHIP

All drivers must treat fellow competitors, league staff, and community members with respect.

The following will not be tolerated:

❌ Harassment
❌ Excessive profanity or toxic behaviour
❌ Arguments or disrespect towards staff decisions
❌ Trolling or intentionally ruining another driver's race

Represent yourself and your team with professionalism at all times.

🏎️ CLEAN RACING

Competitive racing is encouraged, but clean racing always comes first.

Drivers must:

βœ… Leave racing room when another car has overlap
βœ… Avoid unnecessary contact
βœ… Defend fairly and predictably
βœ… Respect track limits at all times
βœ… Prioritize safe racing over gaining positions unfairly

Winning never comes before clean competition.

πŸ’₯ IF YOU HIT, YOU WAIT

If you cause another driver to spin, crash, or lose significant time due to contact, you are expected to:

  • Safely slow down
  • Wait for the affected driver
  • Return the position before continuing

Failure to do so may result in penalties.

🚦 RACE STARTS & OPENING LAP

Drivers must complete the official in-game formation lap.

Race starts officially when the green flag is displayed.

Drivers must:

βœ… Avoid unnecessary risks during the opening lap
βœ… Maintain awareness of surrounding cars
βœ… Only begin overtaking after crossing the start/finish line

Patience at the start of a race is essential.

🏁 OVERTAKING & DEFENSIVE DRIVING

The responsibility for completing a safe overtake primarily belongs to the attacking driver.

Rules:

βœ… One defensive move is allowed
❌ Moving under braking is prohibited
❌ Reactionary blocking is prohibited
❌ Deliberately forcing another driver off track is prohibited

Respect your opponent and give space when required.

πŸ”΅ BLUE FLAGS

Lapped drivers must remain predictable and allow faster cars to pass safely.

Lapped drivers should:

βœ… Hold a predictable line
βœ… Avoid sudden braking on the racing line
βœ… Allow faster cars through when safe

Faster drivers are still responsible for making clean and respectful overtakes.

πŸ› οΈ PIT STOP RULES

One mandatory pitstop is required!

  • The stop must include refuelling
  • Minimum stationary pit time: 25 seconds
  • Tyre changes are optional unless otherwise stated

Drivers must:

βœ… Use the pit limiter correctly
βœ… Stay within pit entry and exit lines
βœ… Avoid crossing the pit exit blend line

Unsafe pit entries or exits may result in penalties.

πŸ”„ REJOINING THE TRACK

Drivers must always rejoin safely.

Unsafe rejoins include:

❌ Re-entering into oncoming traffic
❌ Forcing other cars to avoid you
❌ Returning to the racing line dangerously

Drivers must yield to cars already on track.

πŸš— VEHICLE DAMAGE

Drivers with significant damage should use the "Return to Garage" function when necessary.

Continuing with a dangerous or undriveable vehicle may create unnecessary risks for other competitors.

πŸ‘₯ TEAM RULES

Each team consists of:

🏎️ 2 Drivers
🏎️ 2 Cars from the same manufacturer
OR
🏎️ 1 Driver
🏎️ 1 Car from the same manufacturer

Team regulations:

  • Drivers cannot switch teams during the season unless approved by league administration
  • Teams are encouraged to promote themselves and recruit through the Driver Market

βš–οΈ STEWARDING & INCIDENT REPORTS

All incidents will be reviewed by league stewards to ensure fair and consistent decisions.

Drivers have the ability to report incidents through a Discord ticket.

Reports should include:

πŸ“Œ Lap number
πŸ“Œ Corner/location
πŸ“Œ Drivers involved
πŸ“Œ Replay clip or screenshot evidence

Depending on the severity of the incident, penalties may include:

⚠️ Official Warning
⏱️ Time Penalty
⬇️ Grid Penalty
❌ Race Disqualification
🚫 Race Ban
πŸ† Championship Point Deduction
πŸ”¨ League Removal

🚫 SERIOUS OFFENCES

The following actions may result in penalties:

❌ Intentional ramming
❌ Brake checking
❌ Deliberately forcing drivers off track
❌ Ignoring steward instructions
❌ Rage quitting to avoid penalties
❌ Repeated unsafe driving

πŸ† FINAL RULE

Race with integrity. Respect your competitors. Represent your team proudly.

The World Racing Championship is about creating memorable battles, fair competition, and a community where everyone can enjoy racing.

🏁 Race Hard. Race Clean. Earn Every Position.
