Welcome to Flatout!
We are a community with a focus of having fun racing online. We offer top of the line sim racing experiences everyday! Below are the Discord Community rules we would like you to review:
- Treat everyone with respect. We want to have fun.
- We promote free speech and any topic can be discussed politely; but there is absolutely no room for harassment, witch hunting, sexism, racism, or hate speech. Keep discussions civil.
- If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff know. We want this to be a welcoming space!
- No spam or self-promotion (server invites, advertisements, etc.) without permission from a staff member.
- No age-restricted or obscene content. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content.
Violation of any rule(s) can result in any number of sanctions at the discretion of the Admin Team, including banning. Community Etiquette
- The rules to which you agreed upon joining the Flatout Sim Racing Discord stipulate that Flatout will have sole discretion of what constitutes inappropriate on-track or interpersonal behavior, and shall have the authority to impose penalties up to and including session revoke, service refusal, Discord time-outs, and bans. We have no tolerance for deliberately bad behavior, whether on or off track. Those individuals who are habitually unable to treat our rigs and others in an appropriate and respectful fashion will no longer be welcome as a member of the Community.
- The Flatout Discord is the social backbone of our community, providing a way for members to interact with one another, exchange information and build friendships. Its a place to communicate and socialize about a shared passion for sim racing, racing, and other general topics as long as they remain a “family-friendly” discussion. Disagreements are part of the landscape, but in order to maintain a pleasant environment for all community members, rude or hostile language will not be tolerated. Posts that attempt to publicly confront, bait with excessive negativity, accuse or attack another member or Staff are forbidden. Those who engage in a pattern of such behavior will face penalties that may include a ban. This includes the Discord Direct Message system or Voice Chats, and as such, the same standards for conduct apply to all private messages. Foul or threatening language and insults will not be tolerated and may lead to community bans.
- Be respectful and courteous on and off the track. It is expected that each member will treat other members, drivers, Flatout Staff, spectators, partners, or guests on any Flatout platform in a respectful, fair, and courteous manner. Bullying, abusive, threatening, rude, mean, and disrespectful language or actions are not allowed. Flatout Staff has sole discretion to determine if the behavior of a member is causing negative issues or angst with others and the community.
Driving Etiquette
- All drivers will abide by Flatout's rules for rig rental. Flatout Sim Racing places a high value on responsible driving and fair competition, but accidents in racing are inevitable. In the physical world, the risk of injury and expensive car repairs serves as a natural deterrent to reckless driving. Because those risks do not exist in the virtual world, it is on each of us to ensure clean driving to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all skill groups. Deliberate, blatant, intentionally malicious, or retaliatory wrecking, for any reason, is prohibited. Competitors who believe that they have been victims of such action – and those competitors who believe that they have witnessed such action – are strongly encouraged to notify Flatout Staff.
- Additionally, all drivers are subject to the iRacing Code of Conduct. Please review the link below:
