AOR Le Mans Ultimate League Rules

1. General Conduct

All drivers are expected to race in a clean, respectful, and professional manner at all times.Le Mans Ultimate is endurance racing — patience, awareness, and consistency are just as important as outright pace.By participating in the league, all drivers agree to follow these rules and any instructions given by league administrators.Failure to follow the rules may result in:

  • Warnings

  • Time penalties

  • Qualifying bans

  • Race bans

  • Championship disqualification in severe cases

2. Driver Standards

Respect Other Drivers

  • Aggressive, reckless, or retaliatory driving will not be tolerated.

  • Drivers must always leave racing room when battling.

  • Rejoining the circuit unsafely is prohibited.

  • Intentionally causing collisions will result in severe penalties.

Predictability

  • Sudden changes of direction are not permitted.

  • Drivers defending position may make ONE defensive move.

  • Blocking under braking is prohibited.

  • Hold a consistent line when being lapped.

Track Limits

  • Drivers must make every reasonable effort to remain within track limits.

  • Repeated abuse of track limits may result in penalties even if the game does not automatically penalise the driver.

3. Race Starts & Opening Laps

The opening laps are the highest-risk period of the race.Drivers are expected to:

  • Brake earlier than normal into Turn 1.

  • Leave additional space to surrounding cars.

  • Avoid unnecessary risks.

  • Prioritise survival over position gains.

Cold tyres, heavy fuel loads, and close traffic significantly reduce grip and braking performance.Avoid divebombs and over-aggressive overtakes during the opening laps.Any avoidable first-lap incidents may receive harsher penalties.

4. Multi-Class Racing Rules

Le Mans Ultimate features multi-class racing, requiring awareness and cooperation from all classes.

Faster Class Responsibilities

  • The faster class carries the responsibility to complete overtakes safely.

  • Do not expect slower classes to immediately move off-line.

  • Plan overtakes early and communicate intentions through positioning.

Slower Class Responsibilities

  • Slower classes should remain predictable.

  • Do not suddenly move off the racing line to “help” a faster class.

  • Lift slightly on straights if safe to do so.

  • Respect blue flags when clearly being caught.

Shared Responsibility

  • Both drivers are responsible for avoiding contact.

  • Patience is critical in traffic.

  • Losing one second is better than ending two races.

5. Yellow Flags & Incident Procedures

Yellow Flags

When yellow flags are displayed:

  • Slow appropriately.

  • Be prepared for stopped or damaged cars.

  • Overtaking under yellow flags is prohibited unless avoiding an incident.

White Flags

A white flag indicates a slow-moving vehicle ahead.Drivers must:

  • Reduce speed if necessary.

  • Be prepared to take avoiding action.

  • Exercise caution approaching blind corners.

Recovering After an Incident

If involved in a spin or crash:

  • HOLD YOUR BRAKES initially.

  • Wait for approaching traffic to pass before rejoining.

  • Rejoin safely and parallel to the racing surface.

A stationary car is easier to avoid than a rolling car rejoining unpredictably.Unsafe rejoins may result in severe penalties.

6. Blue Flag Rules

Blue flags are informational, but drivers being lapped are expected to cooperate safely.Lapped cars should:

  • Remain predictable.

  • Avoid defending aggressively.

  • Lift slightly where safe.

  • Avoid compromising leaders’ races.

Faster cars should:

  • Avoid forcing dangerous overtakes.

  • Show patience in technical sections.

  • Complete passes safely.

7. Pit Lane Rules

Pit Entry & Exit

  • Drivers must respect pit entry and exit lines.

  • Unsafe pit exits resulting in contact may be penalised.

  • Practice pit entry before race day.

Pit Lane Speed

  • Drivers are responsible for respecting pit speed limits.

  • Deliberate exploitation of pit lane mechanics is prohibited.

8. Voice Chat & Communication

If voice communication channels are used:

  • Keep communications clear and race-related.

  • Avoid distracting drivers during qualifying or race sessions.

  • Admin instructions take priority at all times.

9. Disconnects & Technical Issues

Le Mans Ultimate is still evolving and technical issues may occur.Drivers accept that:

  • Disconnects can happen.

  • Bugs or server instability may occur.

  • Race restarts are not guaranteed.

Admins reserve the right to:

  • Restart sessions if major server issues occur.

  • Adjust race formats if required.

  • Make final decisions in the interest of fair competition.

10. Stewarding & Penalties

Incidents may be reviewed after races. When submitting reports:

  • Include lap number.

  • Include drivers involved.

  • Provide video evidence where possible.

  • Keep reports respectful and factual.

Steward decisions are final.Repeated offences may lead to escalating penalties.

11. Sportsmanship

This league exists to provide competitive but enjoyable endurance racing.Drivers are expected to:

  • Respect fellow competitors.

  • Accept mistakes happen.

  • Race fairly.

  • Help create a positive racing environment.

The goal is for everyone to survive, improve, and enjoy the racing.Race hard. Race smart. Endure together.
