Description and Instructions
🏁 Official Regulations: GT3 Grand Prix
This document establishes the sporting rules for the 90-minute endurance race. Compliance with these regulations is mandatory for all participants.
1. Event Format
The event will be divided into three consecutive sessions:
-
Free Practice: 15 minutes (car setup and warm-up)
-
Qualifying: 15 minutes (grid positioning)
-
Race: 90 minutes
2. Pit Stop Procedure (Mandatory)
Each driver must complete at least one pit stop that meets the following requirements:
-
Mandatory Services: Refueling and a change of all 4 tires are required
-
Minimum Pit Lane Time: 30 seconds
Note: Time is measured from pit entry line to pit exit line (pit limiter zone). Stops shorter than the minimum time will result in a penalty.
-
Pit Window Opening: Exactly at 45 minutes (midpoint of the race)
-
Window Duration: Open for only 8 minutes
-
Entry Requirement: Drivers must cross the pit entry line between 45:00 and 53:00 race time
3. On-Track Code of Conduct
To ensure fair and clean racing:
-
Blue Flags: Lapped drivers must allow faster cars to pass in a predictable and safe manner
-
Defending Position: Only one defensive move is allowed. Erratic movements or weaving on straights are prohibited
-
Track Limits: Repeated abuse of track limits will be penalized automatically by the simulator or race control
-
Pit Lane Etiquette: Cars already in the pit lane have priority. Extra caution must be taken when exiting to avoid interfering with flying laps
4. Incidents and Penalties
-
Avoidable Contact: Causing a collision that results in another driver losing position will lead to a time penalty or a Drive-Through penalty
-
Pit Window Violation: Entering the pits outside the designated 8-minute window will result in disqualification or a severe penalty (at the stewards’ discretion)
💡 Driver Tips
-
Fuel Management: In a 90-minute race with a mandatory stop, plan your strategy to be lighter and efficient in the first half, and fast in the second
-
Timing: Do not wait until the last second (minute 53) to pit—any mistake or pit entry traffic could invalidate your stop
