π GT Endurance Championship β Full Rules & Regulations (GT3/GT4)
The following rules apply to all rounds of the GT Endurance Championship. By entering the series, all drivers agree to follow these regulations and accept stewarding decisions as final.
The aim of these rules is to promote clean multi-class endurance racing, fair competition, and consistent race control across all events.
π 1. General Conduct
- All drivers must race with respect, patience, and awareness of multi-class traffic
- Intentionally causing contact, retaliation, or reckless driving will result in penalties or removal from the championship
- This is a clean endurance racing series, not a sprint-style or contact-heavy league
- Drivers are responsible for their own actions at all times, including avoiding incidents when possible
π§βπ€βπ§ 2. Driver Behaviour Standards
Drivers are expected to:
- Race cleanly at all times, especially in close traffic
- Avoid divebombs, late lunges, and unsafe overtakes
- Rejoin the track safely after incidents or off-tracks
- Show respect when being overtaken or lapping other cars
- Maintain predictable driving in multi-class situations
β Strictly prohibited:
- Intentional contact
- Brake checking or blocking
- Retaliation after incidents
- Unsafe re-joins causing incidents
- Deliberate track limit exploitation for advantage
ποΈ 3. Multi-Class Racing Rules
Because this is a GT3/GT4 endurance series:
GT3 Drivers:
- Responsible for safely overtaking GT4 traffic
- Must not force GT4 cars off line when lapping
- Should expect slower classes to maintain their racing line when safe
GT4 Drivers:
- Must hold predictable lines when being lapped
- Must not defend against GT3 cars
- Must allow safe passes as soon as it is safe to do so
π‘ Key principle:
GT3 overtakes GT4 safely β GT4 stays predictable and consistent.
π 4. Race Start Procedures
- Starts may be standing or rolling, depending on event briefing
- Formation lap instructions must be followed exactly
- Overtaking is not allowed until the start line or green flag unless stated
- Jump starts or unsafe positioning may result in penalties
β½ 5. Pit Stop Regulations
- All pit entry/exit lines must be respected
- Pit lane speed limits must be followed at all times
- Unsafe release = penalty
- Blocking pit entry or exit = penalty
- Refuelling, tyres, and repairs are allowed unless restricted per round briefing
Mandatory Stops:
- Some events may include mandatory pit stops or tyre requirements
- Failure to complete required stops = penalty or DSQ
π© 6. Flag Rules & Race Control
π¦ Blue Flag
- Let faster class cars pass safely when possible
- Do not defend or race aggressively against lapping cars
- Maintain predictable driving line
π¨ Yellow Flag (Local Yellow)
- No overtaking in the affected sector
- Drivers must reduce risk and be prepared for hazards
- Overtaking resumes only when clear of incident zone
π§ Full Course Yellow (FCY)
- All drivers must immediately slow to controlled FCY pace
- No overtaking under FCY conditions
- Maintain gaps safely without aggressive closing
- Pit lane rules remain as per race control announcement
- FCY ends only when race control declares βGreen Flagβ
π¨ Safety Car (SC)
- All cars must form a line behind the Safety Car
- Overtaking is strictly forbidden unless instructed
- Lapped cars may be handled according to race control direction
- Pit stops may be allowed depending on briefing
Restart Procedure:
- Safety Car will exit at a controlled time
- Drivers must maintain gaps and avoid weaving or braking erratically
- Overtaking only allowed once green flag is shown
π΄ Red Flag
- Session is paused due to major incident or technical issue
- Drivers must reduce speed and follow instructions
- Restart or result procedures will be announced by race control
π 7. Track Limits
- Repeated track limit abuse will be penalised
- Gaining time advantage by cutting corners is not allowed
- Typical enforcement:
- Warning system β then time penalty
- Persistent abuse may lead to further penalties or DSQ
βοΈ 8. Incident Review & Stewarding
- All incidents may be reviewed if reported
- Drivers may submit protest evidence within the allowed window (usually 24β48 hours)
- Steward decisions are final
- Penalties may include:
- Time penalties (5β60 seconds)
- Drive-through penalties
- Post-race time adjustments
- Disqualification for serious offences
πΆ 9. Connection & Server Rules
- Drivers must maintain a stable connection
- Severe lag, teleporting, or desync driving may result in removal
- No exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics
- Intentional server disruption = immediate ban from event
π§ 10. Championship Integrity
- Drivers must compete in their registered class unless approved by admins
- No switching cars without permission
- No intentional sandbagging or manipulating results
- Championship integrity violations may result in removal from standings
π 11. Race Control Authority
- Race control decisions override all other interpretations
- FCY, SC, penalties, and restarts are at race control discretion
- All drivers must follow instructions immediately when issued
