1.0 - General

The race meetings shall be conducted in accordance with the British Virtual Sim Racing (BVSR) Series Regulations which shall be incorporated and referred to collectively as “the Regulations”.

BVSR has the right to amend or vary the Regulations at any time before or during any championship and further to issue additional statements concerning the Regulations from time to time, statements will be issued in a bulletin on Discord and other social media platforms.  Please ensure you are connected to the BVSR Discord.

All competitors, teams, and team members agree to be bound by the Regulations including any amendments, variations or statements relating thereto and to procure compliance by persons associated with them. Only bulletins issued by the BVSR will be effective in the championship.

1.5 - Track Limits

1.5.1- Drivers must use the track at all times and may not leave the track without a justifiable reason.  All cars must remain on the asphalt at all times and must not use the grass verges.

1.5.2 - The white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track.  Competitors can drive their cars onto the white lines at the edge of the track without penalty.

1.5.3 - A driver will be judged to have left the track if all four wheels of the car either go beyond the outer edge of any kerb or go beyond the white line where there is no kerb.

Penalties for breaking the track limit rules:

Qualifying - Where it is shown that a driver has gained advantage on that particular lap, i.e. a faster lap time, then that lap time will be removed. This can be done as often as is required. Race - A rising scale of penalties will be applied according to the number of times a competitor is reported to have exceeded the track limits.

1.5.4 - If you are off track you must wait for a gap to re-enter the track safely, giving way to traffic already on track. Get up to speed alongside the racing line and check for traffic before moving to the racing line if possible. If you see a car off track ahead, we would encourage you to allow room for the car to rejoin to avoid a potential incident if safe to do so – they may not have full control of their car on the grass or gravel. Whilst off track you must throttle off and not keep your foot in despite the circumstances, always think of others around you and not yourself.

3.0 - Driver Discipline

All drivers are answerable to the Clerk of The Course and the BVSR administrator with regards to their behaviour during a race meeting, both on and off the track. Time penalties, license endorsements, points deductions or even disqualifications can be applied in the event of a driver being judged to be in breach of the regulations.

BVSR is officially a non-contact series, the close racing and competitive nature often lead to on-track contact. However, the championship organisers have strict rules against unnecessary collisions, with penalties enforced by a panel of stewards.

Infringements can include, but are not exclusively limited to:

OFF TRACK INFRINGEMENTS

Swearing in chat (1st, WARNING 2nd, WEEKS BAN ON DISCORD 3rd, EJECTED FROM BVSR).
Using the in game chat is forbidden (THIS CAN CARRY LICENCE POINTS OR A RACE DQ)

Sharing BVSR documentation with 3rd parties (EJECTED FROM BVSR).
Slanderous comments towards BVSR (EJECTED FROM BVSR).
