🌶️ Chili Bowl Special Event – Rules

1️⃣ Cars & Setup

  • Car: Dirt Midget (official iRacing car)

  • Setup: Open setup allowed ✅

  • Skins/Paints: Must follow league/community guidelines

  • Tires/Fuel: iRacing default for dirt ovals

2️⃣ Practice & Qualifying

  • Practice: 7:00 PM NZT

  • Qualifying: 7:30 PM NZT

    • Format: 1 flying lap per driver

    • Pole: Fastest lap wins pole for Heat 1

3️⃣ Heat Races

  • Heats: 10–15 laps depending on entries

  • Start Type: Rolling start

  • Lineup: Based on qualifying times

4️⃣ Last Chance / B-Main

  • Purpose: Gives drivers who didn’t transfer from heats another shot at the Feature

  • Laps: 10–15

  • Transfers: Top 3–5 (depending on total field) advance to 50-Lap Feature

5️⃣ 50-Lap Feature Rules

  • Start Type: Rolling start

  • Pace Laps: 1 full formation lap

  • Cautions: iRacing official caution rules apply

  • Restarts: Double-file, inside line choice goes to leader

  • Laps: 50 laps total

6️⃣ On-Track Conduct

  • Clean racing only – aggressive but fair

  • No intentional wrecking or blocking

  • Respect racing lines – avoid forcing others into walls

  • Yellow Flags: Hold position until the green

  • Red Flags / Disconnects: Race director discretion

7️⃣ Penalties

  • Avoidable contact: Warning on first incident, may result in stop-and-go or disqualification

  • Jump start: Automatic warning, then penalty if repeated

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior: Disqualification from event

8️⃣ General

  • Grid Size: Max iRacing Dirt Midget field (usually 40)

  • Safety Rating / iRacing license: Open – everyone welcome

  • Streaming / Recording: Encouraged, but no interference
