Live Race Control System
For this test event, standard racing rules are relaxed. However, the live Race Control flag system must be followed at all times.
Failure to follow flag instructions may result in penalties.
On race day, IFWL will post the official entry list JSON in Discord. This will act as the official βRed Flagβ restart reference.If the following message appears in Discord:RED FLAG INITIATED β Please return to pits and send a screenshot of standings into DiscordAll drivers must:
Safely return to the pits.
you must send a screenshot of the standings into the designated Discord channel.
If another team has already posted the screenshot, do NOT post another.
IFWL may take up to 30 minutes to restart the server.Upon restart:
Up to 30 minutes of practice may be enabled.
The race will resume based on the shared leaderboard positions.
Time used for restart will be deducted from the remaining race time.
Example:
If 2 hours remain and a red flag is called, IFWL may deduct up to 30 minutes from the remaining race time.
If a red flag is called within the final 30 minutes:
The race will resume with the remaining 30 minutes.
No time deduction will be applied.
After a server restart, the following message will appear:GREEN FLAG β Practice session live β please join with primary driver into server
Only shown after a restart.
Free Practice will be enabled for 15 minutes.
Teams must rejoin and prepare for race restart.
If a qualifying session appears after race completion, ignore it. Once the race timer ends, the event is complete.
When Race Control is satisfied the server is stable:GREEN FLAG β Race lead has control β race pace within 45 secondsThe race leader must bring the field up to race pace within 45 seconds of this message.If shown after a VSC formation or VSC pits, the race leader must accelerate to race pace within 45 seconds.
Message:VIRTUAL SAFETY CAR (FORMATION / REDUCED SPEED) β Remain in formation. 1st gear, enable limiter, no overtaking. Await updateProcedure:
Priority is determined by the driver in P1.
Immediately reduce speed safely.
Select 1st gear.
Enable pit limiter.
No overtaking.
Maintain formation.
Do NOT assume the VSC has ended unless instructed.VSC Formation lasts a maximum of 2 laps.
Drivers may pit.
They will lose position.
They must rejoin at the rear of the formation if VSC is still active.
If VSC Pits is called while a driver is mid-pit:
They may exit at race pace to unlap themselves.
Return to pits.
Rejoin at the rear of the formation.
Message:VIRTUAL SAFETY CAR (PIT NOW) β All cars enter pits now. Keep formation at pit exit line. No overtaking. Await updateThis is called if VSC Formation exceeds its 2-lap limit.Procedure:
All cars must enter the pits immediately.
Line up at the pit exit board.
Maintain formation.
No overtaking.
Drivers may take a pit stop if they choose.Drivers must not leave their pit box until a Green Flag is given.When formation exits the pits:
Cars in formation have right of way.
Drivers leaving pit boxes may only join once the final car in formation has passed.
