VELOCITY INTERNATIONAL'S iRacing GT championship SPONSORED BY FLATOUT SIM RACING | SEASON 5
Velocity International is a Sim Racing Community born from Console ACC. Over the past three years we have grown to over 1800 followers across Console ACC and iRacing. This series is the fifth season of our GT Series. Join us to help shape the future of our iRacing Community!
This series will see Drivers contest races of 30 - 60 - 90 minutes in the GT3 class. Registering Drivers will need to join our League in iRacing, all races will be hosted there to allow practice sessions to be generated with accurate weather and conditions. Search for Velocity in the Leagues tab, or look up 10675.
Team Championship:
This series will include an optional Team Championship. Two drivers will form a Team and announce in Discord. Have fun with it: same car (not required), maybe matching liveries, cool Team name (keep it clean), be creative! Want to race solo? No problem! There is no requirement to be part of a Team.
How it works: Each round both drivers will participate in individual cars. After the results are published, each drivers points will be totaled and the Team's points balance will be updated. At the end of the season the Team with the most points will be crowned the iRacing Season 5 GT Series Team Champion alongside our Drivers Champion. Think F1 style Constructors Championship. This will be manually calculated in Discord, no additional sign up in SimGrid required.
SERIES CALENDAR:
All races take place on Sundays @ 3:30PM EST starting January 18th, 2026. All reported times will be in Eastern Time:
- Brazil (2x30m)
- Mexico (60m)
- Portimao (90m)
- Brands Hatch (2x30m)
- Red Bull Ring (60m)
- Silverstone (90m)
- Misano (2x30m)
- Miami (60m)
- Road America (90m)
SCORING:
We will use the SimGrid Progressive scoring system.
- Sprints - each 30 min race is worth half points
- 60 mins rounds - worth normal amount
- 90 mins - double points
- Bonus point for fastest lap
Series DETAILS:
- Drivers will be allowed max signouts.
- Series to include 1 Drop Round
- Car swaps will be permitted, but with penalty
- Second car swap is a 10 point reduction
- Each subsequent swap is X+5 points
- Third swap is 10+5 points
- Fourth is 15+5 points, etc
- Drivers to request car swaps in Discord channel, Admin will update registration
- Drivers joining in the incorrect car will be marked as DNF
RACE DETAILS:
- Open Setups for all races
- Start Type: Rolling Start
- Practice: 20 minutes
- Quali: 15 minutes
- Fast Repairs: 1 for Sprint Rounds, 2 for 60/90m races
- Incident Multiplier will be incremental based on the length of the race. Drivers to report incidents in Discord after race. Admin may also use in-session stewarding controls
- Sprint Rounds: 15x = Drive Through, additional penalty every 10 after
- 60m Races: 20x = Drive Through, additional penalty every 10 after
- 90m Races: 25x = Drive Through, additional penalty every 10 after
- Assist levels will be set to C-Class iRacing events
- Weather: IRL Weather (Rain possible)
- Track Conditions: Carry-over (Marbles cleaned each session)
- No mandatory pitstops
