SOP Motorsport PS5 Sprint Series

OVERVIEW

Welcome to another dose of PlayStation 5 racing with SOP Motorsport. This championship will feature 7 rounds from around the world but only the best 6 rounds will count towards your championship as this championship features a drop round score meaning your worst round is struck out.  All races will be 60 minutes in length with one mandatory stop for fuel only. We start the championship in the home of SOP with rounds 1 & 2 on UK shores, before jetting round the world on the Intercontinental, to finish our journey in the beautiful country of Italy.

REGISTRATION 

The first 30 drivers to register will secure a slot in the championship. We will allow 10 reserves for this championship and so if registration is full, take one of the reserve spots and you will be moved into a permanent spot if a driver withdraws.

EVENT TIMETABLE 

Practice - 20:00 BST (10 minutes) Qualifying - 20:10 BST (15 minute) Race - 20:30 BST (60 minute races)

PIT STOPS AND STINTS 

Every round will require one mandatory stop for fuel ONLY.

STEWARDING 

This series will adopt post-race stewarding only. Which can be found in the SOP Motorsport discord server.

CUSTOM LIVERIES 

The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is NOT permitted in this sprint series because it is not possible on PlayStation, however, we want all participants to create and be as adventurous as possible.

WITHDRAW AND RESERVES 

If a driver is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the `Races` tab, and then `Admin` on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Please check the info tab to see how many sign-outs are permitted. If a driver has withdrawn from a race, but wishes to attend the race after all, please contact a member of staff as the slot may have already been filled by a reserve driver.
