 What the Slower (Lapped) Car Should Do
  1. Be Predictable: The primary rule is to drive in a consistent and predictable manner. 







  2. Stay on the Racing Line (Generally): Maintain your normal driving line to allow the faster car to anticipate your movements and choose a safe overtaking spot.







  3. Facilitate the Pass when you can: While not required to immediately move off the line, you should adapt your pace by lifting slightly or braking earlier to help the faster car complete the pass safely. Do not lift on the exit of corners.







  4. Do Not Defend: Do not actively defend your position or block the faster car. 







  5. Allow for a Clear Pass: If possible, facilitate the pass on a straightaway rather than a corner. 







 What the Faster (Lapping) Car Should Do
  1. Be Patient: The responsibility for a safe pass lies with the lapping car. 







  2. Use Caution: Be cautious when approaching backmarkers and ensure you have a clear and safe window to overtake.
