Overtaking & Racecraft

- To gain position in a corner, you must have substantial overlap before turn-in!

- Substantial overlap is considered the front axle of the overtaking car AHEAD of the leading cars rear axle.

-  Both inside and outside cars must leave each other racing room

-  Divebombing or “barge passing” is not allowed

-  If the leading car makes a mistake, a pass is allowed only with control and caution

-  On straights, the lead car may make one defensive move + one return to line, unless overlap exists

- The leading car may choose any line unless a trailing car already has overlap

Lapping Etiquette
- Blue flags = you are being lapped

- Lapped cars must not defend – hold predictable line, lift safely if needed

- Faster lapping cars must overtake safely – no forcing slower cars off line

- Both drivers are responsible for a safe and predictable overtake

Contact & Responsibility

- Contact can happen – but avoidable contact is your responsibility

- If you cause an incident, you should give the position back where possible

- If you cause a crash and are the one who suffers most, you still hold responsibility

- Rear-ending the car ahead is always the fault of the following driver

- Brake-checking or intentional slowing is strictly forbidden

- Expect different braking points and driving styles – drive defensively, not aggressively

After an Incident / Rejoining

- Rejoining cars must not interfere with oncoming traffic

- Cars still on track have priority right of way

- You only regain right of way once back to racing speed

- If stopped on track, hold the brakes and stay still until clear

- Severely damaged or uncontrollable cars must tow to pits

- Damaged cars do not have right of way while limping back
