Positive Perception GT4 β Season 1
Rules and Procedures
Welcome to Positive Perception GT4 Season 1! This 5-round championship features the GT4 cars from Assetto Corsa Competizione, balanced with a custom BoP courtesy of Pitskill.io to keep racing fair and competitive. Whether youβre new or a returning driver, we welcome racers of all skill levels.
Race Schedule
- Round 1 β Zolder β 25th September 2025
- Round 2 β Hungary β 9th October 2025
- Round 3 β Brands Hatch β 23rd October 2025
- Round 4 β Misano β 6th November 2025
- Round 5 β Zandvoort β 20th November 2025
All races will use the following weekend format:
- Free Practice 1 (FP1): 25 minutes
- Qualifying (Q): 20 minutes (sets grid for both races)
- Race 1 (R1): 20 minutes
- Race 2 (R2): 40 minutes
Detailed pit strategy and weather settings for each round will be shared before race day.
General Rules
- Only GT4 cars from ACC are allowed.
- One car change per season is permitted but comes with a 50-point penalty applied to your championship tally. All car changes must be requested at least 1 hour before event start.
- If you cannot attend a race, sign out on SimGrid at least 1 hour prior to avoid penalties.
- Each driver may only sign out twice per season.
- Reserve drivers can be added up to 30 minutes before Free Practice 1 begins.
Driver Categories
We run three driver categories: Pro, Silver, and Am β assigned based on past performance.
New drivers should contact an admin to confirm their category placement.
Race Etiquette
- If contact gains you an advantage, you must give back the position immediately.
- Extreme caution is expected through the first few corners of lap 1.
- Respect all drivers regardless of class or pace.
- Close racing is encouraged, but aggressive or deliberate contact will not be tolerated.
Balance of Performance (BoP)
- Custom BoP settings will be applied using Pitskill.io.
- Final BoP will be communicated before Round 1.
Stewarding & Protests
- A single steward will oversee all protests and incidents.
- Protests must be submitted within 24 hours after the race using the official form shared on Discord.
- Protests must include all required information (time/location of incident, drivers involved, clear explanation). Failure to complete the form correctly may and will result in the protest being discarded and ignored.
- The stewardβs decisions are final.
Possible penalties include:
- Warnings
- Race License Points
- Time or Position Penalties
- Championship Points Deductions
- Disqualification
- Ballast Penalties (if applicable)
- Race or Season Bans
- Permanent Ban from Positive Perception
License Points System:
- 2 points per incident for clear faults
- 1 point plus being classified behind involved driver if no redress given
- Points carry over between seasons (max 6 points)
- 2 points removed after 2 clean races
Blue Flag Procedure
- Slower drivers should hold their racing line.
- Faster drivers must overtake safely and cleanly.
- Blue flags must be respected within one lap of being shown.
Racing Rules
Qualifying:
- 20-minute qualifying session.
- Leave space for safe laps.
- No overtaking on the first out-lap.
- Drivers on hot laps have priority; trailing drivers must yield.
- βLast-to-firstβ challenges without a qualifying time are not permitted and penalized.
Pit Stops:
- Repair pits are open throughout the session.
- No mandatory pit stops this season.
- Pit entry and exit lines and speed limits must be strictly followed.
In-Game Chat:
- No text chat allowed during sessions until all cars finish the race.
Weather and Server Settings:
- Weather details announced before each race.
- Practice servers mirror race day settings.
- Entry list locked once qualifying starts.
Custom Liveries
- Drivers are encouraged to use custom liveries.
- Upload via Awesome Sim Racing (ASR) under the Positive Perception GT4 collection.
- No offensive or explicit content allowed.
- Positive Perception can provide custom liveries at a discounted rate for signed-up drivers who want help looking sharp on track.
Points System
Points awarded both overall and within categories as follows:
1st β 30 points
2nd β 26 points
3rd β 24 points
4th β 22 points
5th β 20 points
6th β 19 points
...
25th β 1 point
Best 4 out of 5 rounds count toward the final championship.
Ties broken by:
- Best single-round result
- Qualifying average
Additional Notes
- Drivers must join servers before qualifying to avoid lag caused by custom liveries.
- A 5-minute break will follow qualifying before Race 1 starts.
- Mid-session joins that cause lag may result in penalties.
- Custom liveries are optional but highly encouraged.
