### **Race Rules**
1. **Ready-Up Confirmation** – Before starting qualifying and before starting the race after selecting your strategy, you must get confirmation from an administrator before readying up. If anyone fails to comply, the race lobby will be restarted to ensure all drivers have enough time to finalize their race strategies.
2. **Formation Lap Start Procedure** – You do not accelerate from your position on the grid until the car in front of you has started moving on the formation lap.
3. **Proximity Arrows** – Proximity arrows must be turned on during races to help avoid collisions.
4. **Safety Car, Yellow Flag, and Formation Lap Conduct** – During Safety Car periods, Yellow Flags, and Formation Laps, all cars must maintain a staggered formation relative to the car ahead, leaving at least 1 foot of space between the lead car’s rear bumper and the following car’s front bumper. This rule must be followed at all times during these conditions.
- **Penalty for non-compliance:** Possible penalty for failing to maintain the correct staggered position.
- **Penalty for contact with the car ahead:** Automatic **10-second penalty** for the following car.
- **Chain Reaction Penalty:** If a collision causes a driver to be pushed into another car ahead of them due to following too closely under safety conditions, they will also receive a **10-second penalty**.
5. **Mandatory Pit Stop** – You must make a pit stop during the race. Even if the AI does not disqualify you, **failing to make a pit stop will result in a disqualification (DSQ) from that race**.
8. **Avoiding Contact & No Intentional Ramming** – You are responsible for not hitting the car in front. Both cars will take damage in a collision, so rushing a pass isn’t worth ruining your race—or your opponent’s.
- **Penalty for intentional ramming:** **10-second penalty**.
9. **Incident Reports** – Save all footage of incidents. If you can’t record an incident while racing, PlayStation and Xbox allow you to capture the last hour of gameplay. Video proof is required to submit a report. Though certain incidents may be witnessed during the broadcast, not every POV can be seen at once, so footage is crucial.
10. **Illegal Overtakes** – If you gain positions unfairly in point-scoring places, you’ll lose those points.
- **Penalty:** The next driver in the results will receive the points instead.
11. **No Cross-Team Communication or Teaming Up** – Talking to other teams during a race is strictly prohibited. Additionally, working with drivers from other teams—including blocking cars in a DRS train—will not be tolerated.
- **Penalty for cross-team communication:** **5-second penalty** and possible disqualification from the race.
- **Penalty for teaming up/blocking:** **5-second penalty**.
12. **Defensive Moves** – You can block once on a straight. Moving back across will be penalized.
- **Penalty:** **5-second penalty**.
13. **False Starts** – If you intentionally false start and don’t correct it, you’ll be penalized.
- **Penalty:** **10-second penalty**.
14. **Late Arrival for the Race** – If you miss qualifying but arrive in time for the race, you will start at the back of the grid. If multiple drivers arrive late, they will be ordered based on when they joined.
15. **Intentional Retirements** – If a driver retires from two races for reasons other than mechanical failure, technical issues, or a catastrophic collision, they will be suspended.
- **First offense:** **1-race suspension**.
- **Subsequent offenses:** Suspension increases by **one additional race** each time.
**RULES ARE ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE**
