Description and Instructions
OVERVIEW
Welcome to the oNiD Sim Hound British oNiD4 Series (NOT ALLOWED TO USE BRITISH F4 DUE TO MSUK TELLING US OFF). This season is a new venture into the world of open-wheel racing and a celebration of all things British motorsport has to offer.
The Championship will consist of 2 splits (PRO/AM) and an overall championship. We will have a single format across the entire season.
REGISTRATION
If you currently have an iRating above 2000 or have been above this recently, please join the PRO class. Anything below 2000, please join the AM Class. We will evaluate performances after the first couple of weeks and adjust placements if needs be.
EVENT TIMETABLE
Practice: 19:30 (GMT) - 30 minutes (inc. driver briefing)
Qualifying: 20:00 (GMT) - 15 minutes (open qualifying)
Feature Race: 20:15 (GMT) - 35 minutes
Warmup: 20:50 (GMT) - 10 minutes
Sprint Race: 21:00 (GMT) - 25 minutes (Top 15 Reverse Grid)
PIT STOPS
There will be no mandatory stops in these races. All drivers will get 1 fast repair each race.
POINTS SYSTEM
All details can be found on the points tab on Sim Grid. Our points system will remain the same across all races. We will have an overall championship as well as separate Pro and AM standings. Our PRO/AM Classes will have a points system that allows all finishers to score, whilst our Overall standings will be based upon the FIA points system.
A bonus point will be awarded for the fastest lap in each race.
Each driver will get two drop rounds for the season. If a driver does not sign out on SimGrid, a 10 point deduction will be made to their tally.
CAR SETUPS
We will be running an 'Fixed Setup' championship, based on the track specific setups iRacing offers for the F4 car. Fuel tank sizes will be shrunk for each race to match the race length without necessitating a pitstop.
STEWARDING
This series will be post race stewarded - Incident Form and Incident Guide can be found in the rules page on Sim Grid.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
We will be allowing custom liveries in this series. You can have these be seen on stream and to other races by uploading them to Trading Paints.
