*Orange Flag Zone: Designated Orange Flag Zones is our effort to have a clean start so everyone can enjoy the race and have fun. Each Track will have a starting point and ending point during the first lap only. The Orange Flag Zone is considered a high Scrutiny area and is subject to Penalties. The balance of race, is governed by Iracing Rules of Conduct and having great sportsmanship and is not reviewable.
Here are a few rules of do not do's in the Orange Flag Zone (OF)
Everyone must Qualify (accept if you have a penalty)
No starting from the PIts (accept if you have a penalty)
No swerving on pace lap
No jumping the start and Pace speed must be consistent in the race group
No sustained 3-4 wide passing allowed. Car passing allowed (It must be a clean pass)
No Super Agressive Racing allowed during OF, Brakes must be held on all out of control spins
No Unsafe reentry to the racing surface after a spin out
Here are a few Penalties that may be applied to incidents that happend in the Orange Flag Zone
Avoidable Contact......May get a regular Warning, a very stern warning, Point Reduction, requirement to start from pits the next race, suspension, DQ
Racing incident or one that was unavoidable contact.......no penalty
Super nasty unsportsmanlike conduct....banned
Not a clean Pass causing an accident >>>>>> May get a regular Warning, a very stern warning, Point Reduction, requirement to start from pits the next race, suspension, DQ
For the Balance of the Race, Treat others like you would like to be treated. If you caused a situation that your gained unfairly...apologize, be a sport and give that position back.** Our league does not have live stewards.
