The race for Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) will feature a 120-minute endurance race with a driver swap mechanic. The race will take place under the rules and conditions specified below, ensuring fairness and competitive integrity. Crossplay will be enabled, allowing players from different platforms (PlayStation & Xbox) to compete together.
Race Duration: 120 minutes (2 hours)
Driver Swap: A mandatory driver swap must occur between the 60th and 90th minute of the race.
Grid Formation: The grid will be determined through a qualifying session, with the fastest times setting the order.
Pit Stops: All cars must make at least one pit stop during the race, which can be done during the driver swap. Tires, fuel, and repairs can be done at the pit stop.
Platforms: The race will support crossplay between the PlayStation & Xbox platforms.
Connectivity: All players should ensure they have stable internet connections to avoid disconnections or lag during races. Players should ensure their game is updated to the latest version to ensure compatibility across platforms.
Controller/Steering Wheel Compatibility: All players must use a compatible controller, steering wheel, or similar device that provides a competitive advantage on the same level.
Swap Window: Driver swap must occur between the 60th and 90th minute of the race.
Driver ID Verification: When the driver swap happens, the team must notify race control by using the in-game chat or a designated communication platform to announce the swap.
Swap Procedure:
The swap must happen in the pit lane during the pit stop.
Only one driver may be on track at any given time.
The car must remain in the pit for a minimum of 30 seconds during the swap process (to allow for a proper transition and prevent abuse of the swap).
Failure to Swap: Failure to conduct the driver swap within the designated window will result in a penalty of 30 seconds added to the teamβs total race time.
Mandatory Pit Stop: Each car must complete at least one pit stop during the race.
Fueling and Tire Changes: Teams may refuel and change tires during their pit stop. However, there are no restrictions on tire usage, but teams must use the pit stop as a strategy to gain time and manage fuel.
Pit Lane Speed Limit: The pit lane speed limit is 50 km/h. Exceeding this limit will result in a penalty (5 seconds added to the race time for each offense).
Session Length: Qualifying will consist of a 15-minute session.
Grid Placement: The grid will be determined by the fastest lap times set in qualifying.
Driver Substitution: Any team that has not designated their starting driver before qualifying will have their starting position decided by a random draw.
Clean Racing: All competitors are expected to race cleanly and respectfully. Any form of reckless driving, intentional wrecking, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in penalties or disqualification.
Blue Flags: Lapped cars must yield to cars on the lead lap as indicated by blue flags. Failure to comply may result in a penalty.
Pit Entry/Exit: Drivers must follow proper procedures when entering or exiting the pit lane. If a driver cuts the pit lane entry or exit, they will incur a penalty (10 seconds added to their total race time).
Collisions: If an incident occurs that involves multiple cars, race control will review the footage and determine fault. Faulty incidents will result in a time penalty for the offending car(s).
The following points structure will be used for the championship:
Position Points 1st 25 2nd 18 3rd 15 4th 12 5th 10 6th 8 7th 6 8th 4 9th 2 10th 1 11th or below 0Bonus Points: Additional points will be awarded for the fastest lap during the race (2 points), provided the driver finishes in the top 10.
Team Points: Points will be awarded to the team, not the individual drivers. Each team will receive points based on their final position, regardless of which driver participated.
Race Control: The race control will be available for all competitors through the in-game communication system or Discord. They will monitor all race activities and ensure fair play.
Penalties: Penalties may be applied for:
Contact or Accidents: A time penalty (5-30 seconds) depending on the severity of the incident.
Driver Swap Violations: A 30-second penalty if the driver swap is not completed within the designated window.
Pit Speed Limit Violations: A 5-second penalty for every 10 km/h over the pit speed limit.
Blue Flag Violations: A warning will be issued for the first offense, with a time penalty for repeated infractions.
Disqualification: Any participant found violating these rules intentionally or excessively (i.e., multiple incidents of reckless driving, collusion, etc.) may be disqualified from the event.
Disconnections: In the event of a driverβs disconnection during the race, the team may swap the disconnected driver for the reserve driver or the second team member. The race will continue under normal circumstances. If a team is unable to continue due to multiple disconnections, they will be given the option to withdraw or accept a race-time penalty.
Technical Issues: In case of technical issues preventing a team from completing the race (e.g., controller issues, system crashes), race control will assess the situation and may allow a re-entry or time penalty depending on the situation.
