General Rules & Sportsmanship

To maintain an enjoyable and competitive environment for all drivers, we ask that everyone adhere to the following rules:

Respect & Conduct

  • Treat fellow drivers, race officials, and community members with respect.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, including intentional wrecking, excessive blocking, or harassment, will not be tolerated.
  • Repeated or intentional actions that negatively impact others' experiences will result in disciplinary action.

On-Track Behavior

  • Follow proper racing etiquette, including giving room when necessary and respecting the racing line.
  • Avoid unnecessary contact—accidents happen, but reckless driving will be reviewed.
  • If you cause an incident, a self-serve penalty (such as slowing down and allowing affected cars to pass) is encouraged.

Track Limits & Racing Standards

  • Drivers must keep at least one wheel within track limits at all times unless avoiding an accident.
  • Abusing track limits for an advantage will be subject to penalties.
  • Blue flags are informational, but lapped cars must not interfere with the leaders.

Starts & Restarts

  • Follow the designated start procedure (standing or rolling start, depending on the event).
  • Maintain a steady pace during formation laps and respect restart zones.
  • Jump starts or excessive weaving may result in penalties. (Usually a drive-thru)

Incidents & Protests

  • Incidents should be reported through the designated channels if drivers feel unfairly affected. SimGrid Reporting
  • Reviews will be conducted by event stewards, and penalties will be applied where necessary.
  • All protests should be submitted in a respectful manner.
  • Absolutely no witch hunting. Calling out drivers in a public forum will result in disciplinary action.

Technical Issues & Connection Stability

  • Drivers are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection.
  • If a driver is experiencing severe lag or disconnections, they may be asked to leave the session to ensure fair competition.

Official Rulebook Reference

To ensure consistency with industry standards, Lovely Sim Racing adheres to the iRacing Official Sporting Code. All drivers should familiarize themselves with the iRacing Sporting Code, as it will serve as the foundation for race governance.

Final Notes

Lovely Sim Racing and Tekly Sim Racing are committed to providing a welcoming and competitive environment for all participants. We take driver experience seriously—anyone repeatedly or intentionally affecting others' enjoyment through poor sportsmanship or rule violations will face appropriate disciplinary actions, including suspensions or bans from future events. We look forward to seeing you on track and hope you enjoy the racing experience we are building together!
