Regulatory Basis: Basic racing rules are governed by the FIA International Sporting Code and the official iRacing Sporting Code.
In-Game Communication: Text and voice chat are strictly prohibited during qualifying and the race (except for a quick "Sorry/Thanks" on a straight if necessary). Abuse of voice chat to vent frustration or toxicity will lead to sanctions (warnings/penalties).
Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Intentionally hitting another driver is strictly forbidden, whether during the race, on the cool-down lap, or after the checkered flag. Any act of retaliation will result in an immediate ban from the league.
The start procedure (grid or rolling start) is entirely managed by the game.
Rolling Start: During the formation lap, drivers must maintain their position in two lines (or a single line depending on the track) without excessive weaving or sudden braking (brake checking). Overtaking before the green flag is strictly prohibited.
Braking After a Crash: In the event of a loss of control or an accident, drivers must lock their brakes (hold brakes at 100%) to bring the car to a stop and prevent unpredictably sliding across the track.
Safe Rejoin: After going off-track, the driver is solely responsible for a safe rejoin. You must wait for a sufficient gap in traffic. Using the radar (iRacing F3 Black Box) is mandatory. Cutting across the racing line of another car during a rejoin will be heavily penalized.
Overlap Rule: At the turn-in point, if the attacking car has its front axle at least level with the rear axle of the defending car, both drivers must leave each other a car’s width of space all the way to the corner exit.
Defending Positions: The defending driver is allowed only one lane change to protect their line. If they choose to return to the racing line after moving, they must leave at least one car’s width between themselves and the edge of the track if the attacker is already there.
Moving Under Braking: Any late or intentional change of direction in a braking zone (blocking) is strictly prohibited.
Track limits (off-tracks) and time penalties (slow-downs) are automatically calculated by iRacing. Intentionally exploiting track exploits or game collision barriers will be penalized by race control.
Illegal Position Gain: If a driver overtakes a competitor by cutting the track, they must immediately give the position back or face a post-race penalty.
Pit Exit Line: It is strictly forbidden to cross the solid white line at the pit exit with all four wheels to avoid disrupting cars currently on track at full speed.
In Qualifying: A driver who is not on a timed lap (out-lap or aborted lap) must immediately move off the racing line to yield to drivers on a hot lap.
In the Race: While blue flags in iRacing are advisory, our league enforces sportsmanship. The lapped driver must facilitate a safe and predictable pass for the leader (maintain your line and lift slightly on the straights).
Un-lapping: A lapped driver may overtake the leader if they are actively faster, but they must break away within 3 laps. If they fail to do so, they must return the position.
Automatic Tracking: An automated tracking system (via iRacing stats / Google Sheets) logs incident points (1x, 2x, 4x) for every driver.
Filing a Protest: If an incident was missed or requires steward intervention, only the team directly involved can open a Protest Ticket on Discord.
Cool-down Period: Tickets can only be opened starting 2 hours after the race ends (no emotional heat-of-the-moment protests) and within a maximum window of 24 hours.
Race Control Intervention: In the event of a major incident (start-line pile-up, generalized dangerous behavior, retaliation), race control reserves the right to open an investigation and issue penalties on its own accord, even if no formal protest was filed.
