These are both mandatory and if not done drivers will be removed from the championship. All pre and post race communications, Check ins and incident reporting is communicated through this channel.
LICENCE
To take part in any of Formula Racing Leagueβs events you must have a FRL Licence. Full instructions on how to obtain are available on FRL Discord.
Your licence determines:
Your skill tier
Championship eligibility
Your βbaseβ FRL driver rating
Please allow at least 48 hours for applying. Itβs a manual process handled by admins.
RULES
In addition to the racing rules posted in our rules document (link below) drivers are expected to behave in a friendly & respectful way.
Drivers can be competitive but must:
Treat others respectfully
Avoid antagonistic behavior
Avoid calling out other drivers in public forums.
FRL takes a zero tolerance approach to harassment or bullying. We want FRL to be the best place for Sim Racing and that includes making it a nice place to socialise with like minded people.
Drivers will be permitted to sign out of up to 4 rounds during the 9 race season. If you feel you cannot attend 5 of the races then we would request you come back later and request a reserve slot.
Drivers must have a proven track record of managing their attendance. An attendance ratio of >= 60% is mandatory for signing up.

The series will have 2 drop rounds. They will show on the championship standings after round 5 and round 7
PRE RACE BRIEFINGS
After the check in closes:
β Entry lists are finalised
β Reserves Assigned
β Pre race briefing posted to the series announcement channel on discord
Drivers MUST
β Read the briefing
β React with an emoji to confirm reading and understanding.
REPLAY FOOTAGE
Drivers MUST: β livestream their race OR β save replay footageIf stewards request footage and you cannot provide it: β οΈ penalties may apply
POST RACE
Drivers are encouraged to:
Discuss races
Share screenshots
Upload clips
Watch Broadcasts on FRL YouTube
FRL encourages positive discussion.
FRL has a strict policy against public call-outs. Drivers must not:
Publicly shame other drivers
Argue publicly
Post criticism towards another driver.
Even constructive criticism should remain private unless invited to discuss. This protects:
Newer drivers.
Inexperienced Drivers
Drivers having difficult races.
Drivers who are having off track difficulties you do not know about.
REPORTING INCIDENTS
To report an incident (or even discuss): β Use the Discord Ticket system β Do not use the SimGrid system.
Deadline: β±οΈ 23:59 (uk) the following day.
Incident reports must include:
β Championship Name
β Round Number
β Race Number (if applicable)
β Lap Number/Time remaining
β Video Evidence
Accepted Footage
β Live stream PoV (timestamped)
β Saved Replay footage.
If using replay footage must contain:
β Chase Cam
β In Car Camera
β The camera you use to race with
β Heli-cam
In both instances, the HUD must be visible showing driver inputs.
It is recommended to provide both Live and Replay and provide angles for the car you are reporting also.
