MAJSAI STUDIO RACING SERIES
SEASON 1  - RULESET
 1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES: Clean, competitive racing is expected at all times. Drivers are allowed to race hard, including close battles and minor contact, as long as it remains controlled and does not result in unfair advantage or significant loss to others. Key principle:πŸ‘‰ β€œYou are responsible for avoiding contact when making a move.”
2. DRIVER CONDUCT:

  1.  Respect other drivers at all times
  2.  No intentional contact
  3.  No retaliation
  4.  Maintain control of the car at all times

Unsafe or reckless behavior will be penalized regardless of intent.
3. OVERTAKING RULES: An overtake is considered legitimate if:

  1. The attacking car has significant overlap (at least front axle alongside the     defending car) before the apex
  2. The attacking driver maintains control of the car
  3. The move does not force the defending driver off track

   Rights and responsibilities Attacking driver:

  1.  Must execute the move in a controlled manner

  1.  Must be able to hold the line without contact

  1.  Must not rely on the other driver to avoid a crash

     Defending driver:

  1. May defend once per straight
  2.  Must leave space if overlap is established
  3. Must not turn in on a car that has earned space

4. CONTACT RULES Minor contact is acceptable only if:
1. no position is lost
2. no driver is forced off track
3. no loss of control occurs
 Not acceptable:
4. Causing another driver to spin
5. Forcing another car off track
6. Gaining position through contact
7. β€œBump and pass” maneuvers
5. DIVEBOMB CLARIFICATION (CRITICAL) Definition:
A move is considered a divebomb if:

  • The attacking driver brakes significantly later than normal
  • AND has little or no meaningful overlap before turn-in
  • AND cannot make the corner without forcing the other driver to avoid contact

Important clarificationLate braking alone is NOT a divebomb.
A move is allowed if:

  • The attacking driver reaches the apex under control
  •  Has sufficient overlap
  •  Leaves space for the other car

  Illegal divebomb:

  • β€œSend it” move with no realistic chance to make the corner
  • Using the opponent as a braking aid
  • Forcing the defending car off track
  • Entering the corner out of control

    Legal aggressive move:

  • Late but controlled braking
  •  Clear overlap before apex
  •  Both cars can stay on track
  •  No forced avoidance

πŸ‘‰ Rule of thumb:If your move only works because the other driver avoids contact, it is your fault.
6. DEFENDING

  • One defensive move per straight (slipstream avoid maneuvers are not allowed)
  •  Blocking is not allowed
  •  Sudden direction changes under braking are prohibited

 7. LAPPED CARS Lapped cars must not interfere with lead battles

  •  Must allow faster cars to pass safely
  •  Must not defend aggressively
  •  Must not fight for position with lead cars

πŸ‘‰ However:             Lapped cars are allowed to stay on racing line if predictable             Lapping cars must overtake safely
8. TRACK LIMITS: 1. Drivers must make reasonable effort to stay within track limits2. Repeated abuse may result in (in game) penalties 3. Gaining advantage off track is not allowed
9. INCIDENT RESPONSIBILITY: When reviewing incidents, the following is considered:

  1.  Positioning before corner entry
  2.  Control of the car
  3.  Predictability of actions
  4.  Outcome of the incident

Default principle:The driver causing avoidable contact is responsible. Incidents must be REPORTED!            Report/ protest tickets must be submitted within 60 minutes after the race.                 it must include:

  • involved cars
  • lap
  • short description
  • evidence clips or pictures

Invalid or incomplete reports will be ignored!
10. PENALTIES: Stewards may apply:

  •  Warning
  • Time penalty
  • Position drop
  • Disqualification (in severe cases)

11. STEWARDING PHILOSOPHY Not all contact will be penalized. The goal is to allow:  hard racing, close battles
While penalizing:

  •  reckless moves
  • unfair advantage

12. Point system:Championship points will be earned P1- P12, for the fastest lap of the race and P1 qualification.
Race: P1 – 25 Points   P2 – 20   P3 – 16    P4 – 13  P5 – 11   P6 – 10    P7 – 9   P8 – 8   P9 – 7   P10 – 6    P11 – 5   P12 – 4             Fastest lap – 1point Qulifying: P1 – 3 points
                  P2 – 2
                  P3 – 1
13. FINAL PRINCIPLE: Race hard. Race fair. Take responsibility.
