The ASA LMU Sprint Series uses a clear and structured classification and license system to ensure fair racing, balanced competition, and high driving standards throughout the season.

All drivers are placed into either Pro or Am classifications through pre-season classification sessions held throughout the off-season. Classifications are assigned by admins based on observed pace and consistency. Mid-season reclassification is avoided wherever possible, as strong performance in Am alone does not automatically require promotion. Exceptions are made only when a driver is clearly placed in the wrong category. Drivers joining after the season has started are classified as Am by default.

To promote clean and respectful racing, the series operates a license points system tied directly to in-game penalties. Any incident resulting in a time penalty, Drive Through, or Stop & Go will add points to a driver’s license. Accumulating 10 points results in a qualifying ban, while 15 points results in a race ban, applied at the next event the driver attends.

Drivers can reduce license points through clean racing, rewarding consistency and discipline. This system ensures accountability while maintaining a fair and enjoyable competitive environment for all participants.
