The Driver’s Championship
FRL Super Sprint Sunday just got a whole lot more super. The most exciting series on Console SimRacing is back with a vengeance!
Three tiers (PRO, SILVER & AM) battling on track for supremacy against each other and within the same tier. Each race sponsored by the FRL Patreon Supporters, to commemorate their contribution that has gotten FRL to 22 seasons and over 10000 followers on SimGrid.
With the extended format, one shot qualifying and the return of the reverse grid, come see why this is the most exciting, unpredictable series on console and FRL really is… SIM RACING AT ITS VERY BEST!
New to Season 22
New Race Length Format.
• Race 1 is now 25 minutes
• Race 2 is now 45 minutes
Reverse Grid
Reverse Grid Race 2 is back. The top 40 from Race 1 will have their finishing positions reversed for Race 2.
Two Servers
Server 1 will contain Pro & Silver Tier Drivers.
Server 2 will contain AM tier drivers.
Server 1 will have an overall championship. There is no class priority between tiers.
In the event of poor attendance, admin reserve the right to merge servers together where possible to obtain the largest grid necessary.
Weekly Schedule
(All times U.K. Time)
Practice: 19:00 ( 60’ )
Qualifying: 20:00 ( 10’ )
Race 1: 20:15 ( 25’ )
Short intermission
Practice: 20:45 ( 5’ )
Race 2: 20:50 ( 45’ )
Qualifying
- One shot qualifying remains.
- 10 minute session
- All cars allowed to use track through the session.
- You choose when to set your lap.
- Once you start your fast lap, you may not start another.
- If you crash or invalidate your hot lap - that’s it. No second chances.
- Any driver completing more than 1 lap must start both races from the pit lane
Stewarding
- FRL operates a post race stewarding system.
- It is mandatory for all drivers to be able to obtain replay footage if asked.
- A race recording or live stream is also acceptable.
- Drivers may open incidents tickets for the FRL stewarding team to investigate.
- Tickets must be opened by the end of the day, the day after each race.
- FRL expects all drivers to behave in a friendly and polite manner. Bullying and harassment of any nature will not be tolerated.
